Kellyn Celtic Arts Irish Dance Academy is unique. Intentionally different. We have
a philosophy that differs from the average bear. Offer world class instruction in an
encouraging individualized environment.
(please insert dance school horror stories here, real or imagined-- major attitudes,
unreasonable expenses, outlandish costumes, the painted faces, crazy wigs. The
expletives uttered, screaming and otherwise behaving badly, etc, etc . . . and we don't
just mean the students)
We are different. Our school is about the art of the dance, and there is no place
for all of that other malarkey. But don't just take our word for it. Come to class, talk to
the parents and students-- see why they've chosen us over all the rest for their dance
experience.
The best is yet to come, and shouldn't it include you and yours? You're worth it.
(we know, you can almost hear the tiny violins beginning to play, but we're sincere)
We don't bite-- we are actually very friendly. First and foremost, we are teachers of
Irish step dance-- we encourage excellence, we do not disparage effort. We are in
class to learn, and practice
will make progress.
There are as many reasons to dance-irish as there are people doing it-- what's
yours? The importance of passing the dance on to future generations is never in
question. It is of paramount importance to keep the traditions of the dance alive.
However, for most students, the reason is not quite so deep. It may be something like
this . . .
So you've seen an Irish dance show, (ours?), and you say to yourself "I would really
love to do that." And, turning to the people with you, "Wouldn't you love to do that? I
wonder if there's somewhere around here where we could learn to do that?" (heavy
sigh) Followed by, "I, my daughter/son, husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend,
mother/father, best friend/worst enemy (choose one or many) could never do that.
And we're not even a little bit Irish. Well, maybe a little somewhere, way back. But we
could never do this." (maybe not that, now, but . . . ?)
Or, perhaps, a small voice with big eyes saying, "Wow! That is so cool! I want to
do that!"

It's never too late to start!
We have small children, teens, tweens, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles,
various and sundry cousins and friends, all ages, all shapes, all sizes, definitely not all
Irish, and we all dance-irish. Because we love it. That's all it takes to begin. Our
students are reel people just like you-- (okay, real people-- that was an Irish dance
pun. It's okay to groan) With one important difference-- they took that first step
(holding their breath for sure)!
At Kellyn Celtic Arts, you may choose your path. If it's fun, recreational/social
dancing, we have that. If you are interested in taking the dance to it's highest levels of
solo perfection, we do that. Shows, performances, competition, aerobic/cardio
workouts, we have that. Soft shoes, and hard shoes . . . . All we ask is your
dedication and willingness to work to improve. Personal best at all times. Always.
With Kellyn Celtic Arts, you can still have a life outside of dance class. (and it will
be a much more interesting, fun-filled adventure, because you took the first step.) We
don't demand multiple classes, multiple costumes, multiple this and that. If you would
like to attend one, or two, or more classes per week, the choice is yours. We have
reasonable rates, as we have many families that dance with us. Imagine that. A
wholesome activity that is suitable for everyone, at any level.
There is actual laughter in all classes! (gasp-- there is fun?) We are independent
spirits in a cookie-cutter world. Be different, be daring, be dancing! Come join us!
